The Junior Chamber International (JCI) - Makati Philippines chapter hosts a press conference today in Makati City, for its turnover of a donation of PhP 100,000 from its members, to WFP through the event, End Hunger: Walk the World. CD a.i. Alghassim Wurie and National Ambassador KC Concepcion, as well as representatives from TNT will be present to recieve the donation and to answer questions on WFP's plans for school feeding programs and how the private sector can continue to help WFP. (Unilever is unable to be present as they have a supplemental feeding activity today for victims of typhoon Frank.) The pressconference will be covered by local and foreign press.

National Ambassador KC Concepcion to be interviewed today by GMA 7 for a Global Food Security news documentary. KC will talk about her role as National Ambassador and the need for the public to support WFP's activities during these times of high food and fuel costs. The same documentary has interviewed former WFP Philippines CD Valerie Guarnieri and WFP Cambodia CD Coco Ushiyama on the impact of food costs on WFP's programs. The documentary airs on July 6.
