Thousands of Brazilians will enjoy the film "The Constant Gardener" during the "Walk the World" kick off ceremonies to be held in Salvador da Bahia and Guarulhos on Thursday and Friday, respectively. What a source of inspiration to Walk on Sunday, May 21st!

Sail the World!

We have people scaling Mount Everest, walking the Great Wall of China, marching through Red Square... and now a new watery addition into the hall of fame 2006: Sail the World!

Anna and her 15 other crew members are taking part in a round-the-world yacht race covering 35,000 miles. At 10am on 21 May, they will be somewhere off the Pacific Coast of the United States, so will be Sailing the World to call for the end of child hunger.

Once in a while I get an email and the incredible impact of Walk the World really hits home. This message from Sister Mary Kennedy (from the School Sisters of Notre Dame) is a prime example of how those who are suffering from hunger are not simply hoping for some miracle to save them. These children living in rural Honduras want their voices to be heard on 21 May, and want to be an active part of this global initiative to change the lives of the poor and hungry.
