Each day brings new reports of distress from the war zones of Southern Lebanon, and increasingly from other parts of the country where hundreds of thousands refugees are precariously camping out.
The World Food Programme is working closely with other international organisations and NGOs to assist the Lebanese people and provide essential aid to the needy. However, crucial roads and bridges are being destroyed by bombs, and getting food and assistance to refugees is becoming more and more difficult.

News just in from wonderful Walk held in Pokhara in Nepal. Karen, who works for a children's charity in Nepal called 
Brazil was one of the key countries holding Walk the World events this year. Hunger lessons were held in schools throughout the country, a kick-off event was held in Guarulhos, Sao Paulo featuring an orchestra of local children, and two fantatic walks were held in Salvador di Bahia and Guarulhos.
