The launch is done… I can finally get some rest in my mind, it was very interesting to supervise such event but I am not a party organizer by occupation so let me tell you that there is always something going wrong, coming in late, etc… the organization has been a constant race in the last two weeks, venue, tent, catering, speakers, brochures, follow up of the guest lists, sound system, payments, parallel organization of World Aids day within the Walvis Bay Community, appearance of the Clinic (new boards, re-organization of the inside, cleaning, ..).

Namibia and AIDS, initiatives of the community and how to handle the biggest problem of the country…

I arrived in Windhoek, capital of Namibia, last Friday. Already before landing of the plane you can basically only see dry landscape… It is not surprising to know that there are only 2 millions inhabitants in Namibia while it is equal to the size of France and Germany together!
While getting out of the plane, I feel the warmth outside. The air is very dry so it not very uncomfortable but it is nearly 35 degrees here…

Dear all,

After a seventeen hours journey from Amsterdam-London-Johannesburg (Jo’burg), South Africa here I am! My flight landed this morning at 6.30am at O.R. Tambo Int’l Airport, I am a bit tired but really happy to put my feet on the South African ground, of course the sky is blue and it’s already really warm outside, couldn’t be a better welcome!
