June 3^rd. 33 cities. 4200 participants. A great day of fun and fulfillment with our families and colleagues…it’s the tenth Walk the World in TNT Greater China (mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan).

3 June (Sunday): It was a great day of fun to raise funds and CSR awareness with an estimated participation of 800 persons and nearly € 50,000 collected!

Yes, it’s that time of year when thousands of people walk the streets of many different countries, all of them with one purpose only: fight together against global hunger and show their support to WFP. How do they do so? By participating to “End hunger: Walk the World” , the global fundraising event that begins today and lasts until June 3. The 2010 edition raised enough money to provide a whole year of meals for more than 10,000 school children, achieving an incredible result.

Model trucks, planes, footballs, t-shirts, caps and the full suite of TNT collectables up for sale!  Both the Singapore and Asia Pacific offices had turned their meeting room and pantry into busy shopping areas for Walk the World.  Colleagues gathered to check out the coveted souvenirs and made their generous purchases to raise additional funds for WFP.
