Clean Vehicle Project Inspires in Turkey

TNT Express Turkey started the “Clean Vehicle Project” on November 2006 and it became the first company to use hybrid cars in this country. Now, they have bought Turkey’s first commercial electric vehicles.

These three new vehicles have been operating for the past two months and they have an excellent performance. They have inspired TNT employees, their families, our customers and the community.

These vehicles not only contribute to cut TNT’s carbon dioxide emissions, but they also contribute to reduce fuel-related costs. According to a preliminary estimate, the annual fuel cost for this type of vehicle would be approximately €5,500; in contrast, the annual electricity cost is now approximately €700.
